Large energy users experience significantly more complicated energy usage, management and billing.

Oftentimes, putting solar panels on a roof is not the whole picture for large commercial operators, whether due to misaligned energy consumption schedules, complex plant & machinery on-site or complex industrial processes impacting power quality or supply.

Our commitment is to deliver quality Energy Demand Management, utilising the latest technology at the best price possible.

Energy Audits

An energy audit is a comprehensive assessment of your business’s energy consumption. Energy audits are commonly divided into three categories depending on the complexity of the site and the desired outcomes of the business.
This high-level review of on-site operations gives a broad overview of the energy sources, their contributions to the total profile and some high-impact, high return suggestions or curbing energy usage and increasing efficiency.

No two businesses are the same, and as such, no two audits or solutions are the same. A site inspection and meeting with your key people will inform the scope of the audit required and the costs associated with conducting the works and making recommendations from there.

Power Factor Correction

Power Factor refers to the quality of the power you’re using on-site but also how efficiently you’re using the power you’re purchasing.
Make Enquiry

Power factor is read as a percentage of unity or 1. A Power Factor rating of greater than 0.95 is considered a good quality power factor. A PF rating between 0.85 and 0.95 is acceptable but could be better. A PF rating below 0.85 is considered a poor power factor, and anything under 0.75 is considered problematic.

Think of power as a dance between your electrical system's voltage and current. The power factor is how well these two dancers stay in sync. Everything flows smoothly when they're perfectly in step (power factor of 1). But if they're out of sync (power factor less than 1), it's like a clumsy dance, and the electricity doesn't work as efficiently.

Demand Response

In today's dynamic energy landscape, businesses face the challenge of managing electricity costs while maintaining operational efficiency. This is where Demand Response (DR) steps in as a strategic tool.
Make Enquiry

Demand Response is a proactive approach to managing electricity consumption. It involves businesses voluntarily adjusting their energy usage in response to signals from the grid operator or energy supplier.

By temporarily reducing or shifting electricity consumption during peak demand periods or when the grid is stressed, businesses can help stabilise the grid and alleviate strain on the electrical system.

Battery Energy Storage

Load Shedding/Shifting

Imagine you have a big, rechargeable battery at your business. During times when electricity is cheap and plentiful, like at night when nobody's using much, you charge up that battery.

Then, when electricity gets expensive or when the grid is stressed, like during a hot summer day when everyone's blasting their AC, instead of drawing power from the grid, you use the electricity stored in your battery.

Battery Lg

So, battery storage for demand response is like having a backup power source that kicks in when you need it the most. It helps you save money by using cheaper electricity to charge up the battery and then using that stored power during peak times when electricity is more expensive or when there's high demand on the grid.

It's kind of like having a savings account for electricity – you store it up when it's cheap, and then you use it when you need it, saving you money in the long run and helping out the grid when it's under strain.

This form of load shedding is an option for businesses who lack sufficient roof space for a complete solar energy solution but still wish to reduce energy costs. This form of battery storage can be implemented as the sole cost-saving solution for a business or integrated into a comprehensive strategy for cost-savings and environmental impact offsetting.

We installed a significant solar system at our distillery in McLaren Vale. Peter, Dom and their team were excellent. They were very thorough in their review of our specific usage requirements and time, to calculate the most accurate payback period. They also went to the length of having their electrician install a data logger on our equipment so we could quantify our usage more precisely. Their service has helped us save on both our production and venue power consumption in the most effective way.

P4B did our solar installation at the Big Rocking Horse. They were very professional during all stages of the process, and managed to complete everything on time, and to a high standard, despite a very tight schedule. The payback is dead on track with the initial projections, and their after-sales service is very good. No complaints.

Highly recommend P4B Solar.I run a small cabinet making business and we use a large amount of power. After my initial meeting with Peter and Dominic from P4B I was confident I had found a solar company that I could trust. The guys never came out and tried to sell me anything, they were just honest on their advice and took the info I gave them on how we run our business to provide us with the best and most cost effective system.P4B have always made themselves available for me for any questions, and have always been very accommodating. The installation from their electrical team at Clayton Electrical was flawless. They were very neat and tidy, and explained their process and the best way to use our system.I have a Solar Edge inverter and the app to allow us to see our street consumption vs solar input is amazing tool to help track what our costs per month should be.I'm a very happy customer,Thank you P4B!

We installed a solar system at our winery in the Adelaide Hills. Dominic and Peter have been great to work with. They provided a comprehensive proposal with a few options to consider, a great installation service and they continue to check in with us on a regular basis. I check the solar edge app regularly to see that the system suits our requirements and I'd happily use P4B for our next installation.
