Home Battery Scheme
In January 2019 the Liberal State Government released its Home Battery Scheme. With as much as $100 million in funds available for up to 40,000 home battery units, South Australian residents jumped at the opportunity to offset their installation costs and reduce their electricity bills significantly. In some cases, removing them altogether.
$300/kWh of usable energy storage for standard electricity account holders.
$400/kWh of usage energy storage for concession electricity account holders.
In order to qualify for the home battery scheme subsidy, you must:
- Be a resident in South Australia;
- Property must be predominantly residential;
- Must have owner interest in property or permission from your landlord;
- One subsidy per household.
